One night. One stage. One unforgettable show. Under the lights, our students will take the stage and shine on Thursday, April 30.

Open to El Morro 1st–5th grade students, the Talent Show celebrates creativity, confidence, and courage. From singers and dancers to musicians, magicians, and comedians, all talents are welcome — and if hosting is more your style, 5th graders are invited to be MCs.

PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES

(Required for participation)

  • Open to ELM  students in grades 1–5

  • One act per student

  • Maximum performance time: 1.5 minutes (90 seconds or less)

  • All acts welcome: singing, dancing, instruments, magic, comedy, and more

  • A registration is required for every performer, including each student in a group act

  • Songs are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis (subject to committee approval)

    Costumes and performance content must be age-appropriate and follow the school dress code.

  • One adult chaperone required for all dates (no drop-offs)

  • Attendance at auditions, rehearsals, and show day is mandatory

  • Late registrations will not be accepted

TIMELINE

Auditions: Thursday, April 9 (2:30–5:30 PM, MPR).

Rehearsal: Thursday, April 23 (2:30–5:30 PM, MPR).

Dress/Tech: Wednesday, April 29 (3:30–6:30 PM, LBHS Artists' Theatre).

Show: Thursday, April 30 (LBHS Artists' Theatre—Call time 4 PM, Doors 5 PM, Show 5:30 PM).

Key workshops:

MC Writing Session: Wednesday, April 15 (2:30–4:30 PM)

Vocal Soloist Rehearsal: Thursday, April 16 (2:30–4:30 PM) 

MC Run-Through: Monday, April 27 (2:30–4:30 PM).

REGISTRATION REQUIRED

(READ BEFORE REGISTERING)

All students who participate must be registered individually.
This includes EVERY child in a group act.

Late registrations will NOT be accepted.

MCs (Masters of Ceremonies)

MCs help bring the Talent Show to life by introducing acts, keeping the energy up, and guiding the audience through the program. This role is ideal for confident speakers who enjoy being on stage and working as part of a team. 

MCs have two special dedicated dates just for them:

  • Wednesday, April 15 – MC Workshop & Writing Session | 2:30-4:30pm MPR

  • Monday, April 27 – MC Run-through | 2:30-4:30 MPR

MCs also attend auditions, rehearsals, and show day with all performers.

Merch

Preorders must be completed on or before ​April 5, 2026 to make sure they are ready for the show. Orders made after April 5th can not be guaranteed to arrive by Showtime. All items $15
