Event Details

  • The NEA seeks to build a nation of readers through its signature program, NEA’s Read Across America is focused on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, community centers and here at El Morro, participate by bringing together kids  and books. On March 2, we make a call for every child to be reading in the company of a caring adult.

  • El Morro hosts parents and community members to read aloud a book to the students in each classroom.  It is a day to celebrate reading. For more information please contact Mary Blanton at ReadAcrossAmerica@elmorropta.org.

  • READERS FOR LIFE: El Morro PTA and the Laguna Beach branch of the Orange County Public Library want to make sure that our children are among the two-thirds of Americans who carry the smartest card of all – a library card.

  • For more information, visit any branch of the Orange County Public Library or see the library’s website at www.ocpl.org.

  • Laguna Beach Public Library is located at 363 Glenneyre Street. Cardholders are entitled to check out materials and use services at any of the 33 branches of the Orange County Public Library System.
