When adults volunteer, all students benefit! There are many opportunities for parents and community members to get involved! Your help is needed!

Advocacy: Attends annual conference at the state capital and reports back with information about PTA positions on current legislation. (all school year)
Boo Blast Bake Sale: Advertises the week before Boo Blast that we need baked goods donated. The morning of Boo Blast comes to school early to collect dropped off goodies and gets them to the kitchen. During Boo Blast, manages the bake sale with lots of volunteers helping throughout the night). (ONE DAY! but that whole day)
Boo Blast T-Shirt Contest: Creates flyers (copies last years) to advertise the rules, gets them to each teacher to send home. Collects all entries as they come in. Once they are all collected, organizes by grade and then delivers to the district for judging. (month of October)
Boo Blast Haunted House: Plans out the design and theme of the haunted house. Manages setup, the night of the event and teardown after. Needs a strong committee. (month of October)
Boo Blast Silent Auction: Organizes the silent auction baskets that are donated by each classroom, making sure to avoid duplicate themes from each basket, helping the room parents price their baskets, and wrap the baskets in cellophane, keeping track of basket sales as they happen during the event, making sure baskets are paid for and taken home. Setting up the tables at Boo Blast and tearing down after. (month of October)
Bus Driver/Custodian Appreciation: Organizes the week-long activities and luncheon that happen in April. (month of April)
Character Counts Committee: Works with the chair where needed to carry out Funday Monday activities, monthly assemblies, t-shirt contest, and more. (all school year)
Harvest Festival Committee: Works with the co-chairs as needed and help with the planning, setup, stations, and clean-up of the 2-day event in November. (month of November)
Garden: Help out in the garden for six sessions this year, each session is 1 hour long. Help is also needed in the garden during the after school club in the winter and spring. (6 times throughout the year, plus winter and spring after school)
Green Team: Advocates to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. (all school year)
Hospitality: Provides food for volunteer events, thank you cards to sponsors, birthdays notes for teachers – using PTA funds. (monthly, all school year)
Jog-A-Thon Committee: Works with the chair as needed, for our biggest fundraiser of the year, working with a strong committee of volunteers. (January through March)
Spelling Bee: Manages the 5th grade students who wish to participate in the contest. (month of April)
Sponsorship Committee: Works with the chair and a strong committee of helpers to find new and manage existing local businesses to sponsor events. (all school year, but heavily focused on October and March)
Talent Show Committee: Works with the chair as needed to manage students during rehearsals and participate in the talent show (behind the scenes). (month of March)
Teacher/Staff Appreciation: (2 Chairs is best) Showers our beloved faculty with love during the week in spring. (month of April for the week in early May)
Website: Maintains the website and keeps it updated with relevant and current events. (year round, but behind the scenes and from home at any hour of the day)
Yearbook Committee: Help the chair capture pictures and layout of the book. Room parents are responsible for collecting photos of their class and to help with their class pages. (all school year, at all events on campus)
